AltaGas -Tax Analyst

From preparing tax provisions and returns to conducting in-depth tax research and assisting with CRA audits, every day will bring new challenges and opportunities. You Will:

Prepare and analyze detailed income tax provisions, ensuring accuracy and compliance

Prepare indirect tax returns

Work with various internal teams, fostering strong relationships and seamless communication

Liaise with external auditors, providing crucial insights and support.

Account reconciliation and maintenance for all tax accounts

Prepare corporate and partnership income tax returns and other tax filings

Interact with tax authorities, confidently handling audits and appeals

Identify and document tax filing positions, including risk analysis

Maintain and enhance internal controls within the tax team

Conduct in-depth research on tax issues and prepare comprehensive tax memos

Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to enhance work processes
You Have:

3+ Years relevant experience required

Bachelor's Degree preferred, CPA designation considered an asset

Enrolled or interest in the CPA In-depth Tax Course

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Ability to take initiative in problem solving

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
