AltaGas - Sr HRBP
Reporting to the Sr Director of HR, you will be joining a team that is focused on increasing the value of our human capital and developing and maintaining influential partnerships with business leaders that enable the delivery of strategic business priorities.


You Will:

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to midstream leadership, providing HR insights that shape key business decisions and align people strategies with operational goals

  • Guide leaders in crafting innovative strategies to maximize employee retention, boost engagement, and enhance productivity

  • Coach leaders on best practices and integration of HR processes and programs

  • Partner with leaders to develop and implement HR initiatives, including workforce planning, mergers and acquisitions, and talent integration, to support long-term company growth

  • Utilize HR data and analytics to identify trends, provide insights, and recommend actionable strategies to enhance overall business performance

  • Facilitate change management processes and support leaders in driving organizational change

  • Advise and support leaders in navigating complex employee relations issues, such as performance management, conflict resolution, and team development, to ensure positive and effective outcomes

  • Work with hiring leaders to ensure new employees are effectively onboarded and smoothly integrated into the organization

  • Lead the process of employee terminations to ensure risk mitigation, as well as compassion and respect for individuals

  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with Human Resources Centers of Excellence (COE) to ensure seamless integration and alignment of HR strategies across the organization

You Have:

  • 7+ Years of combined experience in Human Resources and other areas within business functions

  • Expertise in organizational development and workforce planning, encompassing restructuring, talent management, and succession planning, to ensure organizational agility and readiness for evolving business demands

  • Experience collaborating with specialized HR functions, such as Compensation, Benefits, Talent Development, and Talent Acquisition, to implement comprehensive people strategies that boost employee engagement, retention, and business performance

  • Understanding of applicable government legislation in Canada in terms of HR practices and policies

  • CPHR designation or working towards one preferred
