AltaGas - Senior Software Developer (.NET)
AltaGas is seeking an experienced .NET Software Developer to join our team on a permanent basis, reporting directly to the project’s Tech Lead. You will work on an internal web application designed to streamline and improve processes for our transportation team, covering aspects such as rail logistics, fleet management, and invoice reconciliation. This role offers the flexibility of hybrid work while collaborating closely with our dedicated team to create impactful, high-quality software solutions.
You will:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance web application features using C#, ASP.NET Blazor, and Entity Framework.
- Design and optimize SQL Server database solutions to ensure data integrity, security, and performance.
- Integrate application functionality with Microsoft Azure services for hosting, storage, and security.
- Use Azure DevOps for Git source control and work/sprint planning, contributing to a structured and efficient development process.
- Collaborate with the Tech Lead and other team members to understand project requirements and deliver well-designed, high-quality solutions.
- Implement front-end designs with HTML, CSS, and Blazor, ensuring responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
- Participate in code reviews and testing processes to maintain high code quality and operational reliability.
You have:
- Proven experience in software development with a focus on .NET web applications.
- Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Blazor, Entity Framework, SQL Server, HTML, and CSS or similar transferable skillsets.
- Experience with Azure, including deployment and management of web applications.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps for Git source control and work/sprint planning.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Data engineering in Microsoft Fabric toolsets is nice to have.
