AltaGas - Finance Business Partner, Reporting & Analysis
Join our team as a key financial analyst, reporting to the Director, Finance Business Partner. You'll drive critical reporting and analysis, including regulatory reporting, workforce budgeting, intercompany allocations, and long-term incentive forecasting. You'll also lead process improvements and provide impactful financial insights.
You Will:

Maintain and improve the corporate allocation model each month as well as quarterly true-up invoicing and regulatory reporting

Responding to regulatory data requests and organizing historical data for trend and variance analysis

Maintaining and improving the AltaGas workforce outlook model including ad-hoc reporting and analysis for various corporate functions

Delivering of timely, accurate and meaningful interpretation and analysis of the enterprise-wide workforce outlook

Assisting in delivering of key presentational material for senior management and Board of Directors

Development and implementation of ongoing efficiencies through process improvements and leveraging available technology to present effective and impactful reporting and data visualization

Partner with finance teams, business segments, and other corporate functions, to perform planning and reporting activities as well as to provide critical business analysis to support decision making
You Have:

Experience in regulated utility reporting and data requests

Experience in the development of annual budgets, forecast and new processes

Process documentation and knowledge of best practices for corporate functions

Demonstration of interest in leveraging new technology to optimize processes and access to data in areas such as accounting, finance and FP&A

Knowledge and experience in working with planning software platforms

Experience in the Microsoft Power Platform, advanced excel skills (pivot table analysis) and proficiency in business writing

Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities and ability to manage and oversee complex financial models

A degree in business management/commerce or equivalent professional experience

Accounting designation such as CPA or equivalent preferred
