The Opportunity  We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented Account Executive to join our Japan office. In this role, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities with brands, agencies, and enterprise-level sellers and vendors, driving the expansion of our customer base and revenue. The position focuses on selling SaaS solutions, including Amazon ad automation tools like Perpetua, market share analytics, and digital shelf tools, as well as managing sales for our agency business for Amazon and Rakuten.

What You Will Do: 

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of how brands and retailers grow their sales on marketplaces like Amazon and Rakuten, and provide tailored strategies to help customers achieve their growth goals. 
  • Drive new business opportunities with brands, agencies, and retailers operating on marketplaces such as Amazon and Rakuten. 
  • Stay well-informed about retail industry trends, emerging solutions, and new services to bring innovative ideas to the table. 
  • Lead the end-to-end sales process as the primary point of contact for new customer acquisition. 
  • Act as a sales expert, identifying pain points and delivering platform solutions to stakeholders across all levels, including large enterprises. 
  • Take full ownership of contract negotiations, representing Flywheel Digital Japan within established guidelines. 
  • Develop and execute innovative prospecting strategies to build and grow new sales pipelines. 
  • Collaborate with team members to strengthen the sales capabilities of Flywheel Digital Japan. 
  • Maintain a consistent and accurate sales pipeline to identify and mitigate future risks. 
  • Represent Flywheel Digital Japan at client meetings, third-party partnerships, and industry events, which may require occasional travel.

  • 契約交渉のオーナーシップ - ガイドラインの範囲内で、Flywheel Digital Japanを代表して交渉のテーブルにつくこと。  
  • 新しいパイプラインを構築し、成長させるために、革新的なプロスペクト戦略を考案し、即座に実行する。 チームメンバーと協力してFlywheel Digital Japan のセールス力を強化する。  
  • 一貫した正確なパイプラインを維持し将来的なリスクなどを把握して解決する。  
  • クライアントパートナー、サードパーティー、業界イベントなど、Flywheel Digital Japanを代表しての出張があります。

Who You Are: 

  • 1+ years of experience in a closing role at a SaaS company or equivalent sales experience in a CPG/media agency organization 
  • You're craving to get into (or continue building your career) in the fast moving and high growth retail media space. 
  • Ability to manage, track and grow operations as well as new business development. 
  • You can make persuasive decks that tell a story and have captivating presentation skills 
  • You are a strong communicator and can gain buy in from internal stakeholders and customers 
  • You can read the atmosphere of any customer situation, understand it, and come to a solution 
  • You are able to read and write Japanese at a native level. 
  • You have spoken and written proficiency in English

The Interview Process:

Every role starts the same, an introductory call with someone from our Talent Acquisition team. We will be looking for company and values-fit as well as your professional experience; there may be some technical role-specific questions during this call.

 

Every role is different after the initial call, but you can expect to meet several people from the team 1:1 and there might be further skill assessments in the form of a Take Home Assignment/Case Study Presentation or Pair Programming/Live Coding exercise depending on the role. In your initial call, we will walk you through exactly what to expect the process to be.
