Team members use their market research and analytics skills to impact business results in one of Canada’s largest retailers – we serve hundreds of thousands of customers each day, and Petro Points is one of Canada’s largest loyalty programs. In this role, you will work with a team of insights and analytics experts who ensure the voice of our customers and loyalty members remains at the center of strategic and tactical decisions in service of our Petro Canada brand.
Our Customer Experience Insights team is responsible for representing customer data and customer voice in a wide range of strategic and tactical decisions. Working with colleagues across Sales & Marketing, we’ll call on your expertise to support the future of our brand, Petro Points loyalty program, our convenience retailing, energy and car wash business, communications, offers, promotions and more. Minimum Requirements

  • B.Comm or MBA background or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of quantitative market research experience preferred, qualitative experience an asset

  • Demonstrated mastery of market research methodologies and practice, including survey writing, sampling methodology, survey programming, deployment and analysis

  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills. High degree of comfort in working with market research data, including statistical analysis as required

  • Excellent presentation skills – ability to adapt results into presentations and lead workshops when required

  • Excellent time management and project management skills – this position handles a steady volume of analytical projects and timelines can be tight

Responsibilities

  • Represent the voice of our retail and wholesale customer, using market research to support Marketing category and business objectives

  • Work with market research, segmentation and analytics, uncovering actionable ‘so what’ insights to guide business strategy and decisions

  • Support strategic and tactical projects to further retail and wholesale marketing priorities (e.g. retail campaigns, branding, category support, etc.)

  • Utilize Qualtrics market research software tools to author, program and execute research studies to meet project objectives

  • Manage research community health and engagement

  • Assist in the development and evaluation of the annual campaign calendar, as well as campaign messaging and testing of communications creative

  • Participate in product or concept innovation workshops as the research lead

Location and Other Key Details

  • You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.

  • Hours of work are a regular 40 hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
