About the Role


The Adventures Coordinator supports the Adventure Director in managing Outdoor and Leadership Adventures courses in Arizona. This role oversees event planning, staff development, and program execution to ensure safe, effective, and transformational learning experiences for students.



Essential Duties

Program Administration and Optimization

-Live Williamsburg’s Core Values, inspire others and foster a strong, authentic team culture.

-Oversee and manage all aspects of Adventures in Arizona, including budget management, timecard approval, and safety/program compliance.

-Promote and grow Adventures programs, expanding attendance and reach for future families.

Outdoor & Leadership Adventures Program Support

•Implement systems and guidelines to ensure Outdoor and Leadership Adventures are executed with excellence.

•Ensure safety protocols are followed, track incidents, monitor enrollment, and set up courses in Canvas.

•Visit Adventure groups on designated Fridays, interact with students, and serve as a substitute Guide when needed.

•Maintain a 24-hour response time to communications from staff, students, and parents.

•Oversee and support resolution of issues involving staff, students, or parents.

Staff Leadership and Development

•Hire, observe, and review Adventure Leads and Guides.

•Track team performance and ensure adequate staffing and coverage for each event.

•Manage professional development and train staff in transformational learning.

•Lead four L10 meetings per semester; attend weekly L10 and monthly PD meetings.

•Assist with job postings and updates to Adventure staff roles and descriptions.

Program Improvement

•Gather feedback from students, parents, and staff.

•Recommend and implement improvements to enhance program quality and experience.



Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of administrative experience and 6 months in a management or supervisory role.
  • Availability on predetermined Fridays, a valid driver's license, and a vehicle for travel.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Zoom, Canvas, and other technical platforms, with strong organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in Williamsburg Adventures or similar programs
  • Experience working with students in grades 6-12
  • Hold current Red Cross First Aid & CPR certifications or the equivalent

Compensation & Schedule

  • Pay rate is $17,415 per school year.
  • You will be reimbursed for mileage.
  • This position will start ASAP.
  • Adventures are held on 10 predetermined Fridays each semester throughout the geographical region, and required remote work that occurs throughout the week.
  • This is a part-time position, 15 hours per week.
