We seek a highly motivated and independent individual to work as an Administrative intern in the Dermatology and MOHS Surgery Department. The Administrative intern will attend meetings, work on projects, and assist with various tasks.
Job Description:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:
Program/Internship Goals:

Gain applicable real life job experience in hospital operations

Continue to develop and apply classroom skills outside of the classroom
-
Project management of a short-term process improvement project over a 10-week period with a presentation to team/leadership at the end of the internship
Daily Activities:
-
Shadowing/Observing/Training
-
Attends upper-level meetings with supervisor/manager
-
Assist with department small projects/tasks
-
Continually work on process improvement project as outlined with supervisor/manager
-
Assist Administrative Coordinator to the Chair with responsibilities/tasks as needed

Attend trainings as needed
Meetings:

Preceptor 1:1’s – weekly

Department/Staff Meetings

Informational Interviews/Meetings with other Leaders/Departments

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:

Must be a rising senior at an accredited undergraduate program majoring in health administration, health policy, health sciences, business administration, public health or other field related to health management/administration

Internship must fulfill academic program requirements for graduation requirements (i.e. credits awarded upon completion of internship)
