Qualifications:

Education:

  • Juris Doctor from an ABA-approved law school

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

  • Willingness to contribute actively to the mission, vision, goals, and objectives of the School of Law and University.
  • Outstanding organization and project management skills, including a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and listening skills sufficient to work effectively with School of Law faculty, staff, and students.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills that enable candidate to communicate with friendliness, enthusiasm, patience, and respect.
  • Strong computer skills and facility with technology, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software programs quickly.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of information.

Essential Functions:

  • Under the supervision of the Law Dean, provides support to advance the program development and operations of the law school.
  • Assists the Law Dean and the Dean’s designees with legal research and writing needed for law school communications, articles, and presentations.
  • Assists the Law Dean with legal and regulatory compliance issues.
  • Assists the Law Dean and the Associate Dean of Admissions with admissions-related projects, including representing the law school at recruiting events and other admissions-related functions.
  • Assists with scheduling, promoting, and conducting law school programs and events.
  • Helps draft law school communications to internal University constituents and to external stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to adapt to institutional challenges and assist with non-legal tasks.
  • All other duties as assigned.
