As a Cybersecurity Intern, you will participate in a structured learning experience while collaborating closely with department representatives, performing a variety of administrative tasks and working on various projects. In this position, you will gain hands-on and relevant experience in Information Technology within a healthcare setting. By taking this opportunity, you will utilize your interest in project management and engage in networking and career exploration.
A caregiver in this position works remotely (Ohio, Nevada or Florida based) from 8:00AM - 5:00PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Research, compile, tabulate and analyze data and processes for various administrative and departmental matters.
- Assist department personnel in assigned administrative, planning, organizational, technical and professional tasks.
- Provide suggestions or recommendations about department specific projects.
- Prepare and present reports and draft policies and procedures, respond to requests for information.
- Analyze traffic shaping through firewall rules and Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) technologies.
- Conduct network access control profile investigations and creation of access control profiles.
- Provide ongoing support and protection for Medical Device (MIoT) and Internet of Things (IoT).
- Determine appropriate security controls.
- Develop Security Lifecycle Profiles and other protection artifacts.
- Collaborate with Clinical Engineering and Buildings & Design.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Can discuss and weigh pros and cons and separate critical issues
- Can make definitive choices, express opinions on issues and explain logical path decisions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and office equipment
- Current college student in good standing at an accredited college/university
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Experience or relevant coursework in Cybersecurity and/or Network Protection
- Basic computer skills and strong networking and communication skills
Physical Requirements:
- Full range of body motion for handling/lifting items, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination
- Frequent standing and sitting
- Corrected vision and hearing to normal range
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
