The basic function of the Store Clerical Staff is to assist customers, sales and design staff and store management in the operations relating to the customer buying experience and the routine maintenance of the store.

La-Z-Boy is hiring one extraordinary team member to support our store as an Administrative / Warehouse Associate. You will work alongside the Manager, Sales Associates, and Designers as a team to provide our customers with an exceptional experience by answering calls, resolving customer concerns, keeping the showroom customer-ready, assisting with customer pick-ups and some reporting items. Qualifications and Skills of an Administrative Representative:
- Dependable and on time every day. Our customers and team members are counting on you.
- Team player and Self-starter - You will have the training and mentoring you need. We then trust you to show up on time, ready to work, and get the job done right!
- Efficient and clear communicator – you will be working with our internal and external clients
- Maintain an organized working environment with a high attention to detail
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to learn new computer programs
- Excellent customer service skills – in person talking with clients and over the phone
- Able to navigate multiple technologies while staying engaged with our customers
- Must be able to safely lift 50 lbs unassisted
- Receive and stock freight
- Pull and prepare furniture for delivery company
Requirements:
- 18 years or older
- Prior Administrative, warehouse, and Customer Service or related experience
- Business casual dress and appearance
- Available weekends and most holidays – we’re closed Easter, Thanksgiving & Christmas!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist customers at the sales counter in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner.
• Respond to questions regarding EBCO sales and return policy, La-Z-Boy warranty and service, and direct customers to the appropriate department as required.
• Process payment on account transactions accurately utilizing the appropriate method of payment.
• Maintain necessary office forms and supplies as required for routine store operation.
• Assist sales associates and store management in running computer reports
SCOPE & IMPACT:
Understands and executes LZB policies and procedures and communicates this properly to customers. Utilizes computer to input comments and answer questions regarding order status, account balance, and inventory availability. Maintains professional phone etiquette, takes detailed phone messages and returns calls same day.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Efficient computer experience
• 0-2 years administrative experience
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
• Works well with internal and external customers
• Basic knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures with ability to apply in routine situations
