The Role

Education:

 Undergraduate degree in related area or equivalent work experience preferred


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

-Purchasing and/or Project management experience is preferred;

-Supervising experience;

-IT and network related work experience is a big plus;

-Communication for both external and internal channels, and fluent in English and Japanese;

-Word, Excel, PowerPoint (MS OFFICE)


Experience:

Some office work experience preferred


Job Summary:

Responsible for the Provisioning & Purchasing team for internal use and NYBU, and for supporting the manager in facilitating the team’s best practices and achieve economies of scale in the procurement of goods and services necessary for the effective and efficient operation of the company, and to ensure that such goods and services represent the best value, quality service, and are delivered in a timely manner.


Essential Functions:

•Obtain the quotes, lead-times, as well as any specifications requested by the sales and/or engineering department;

•Prepares purchase orders by verifying the requisite specifications and prices, obtains the requests from the purchase planners, and obtains approval from the requisitioning department;

•Procures the ordered items, by forwarding orders to distributors/suppliers, monitoring, tracking and expediting the orders;

•Verifies receipt of items, by comparing items received to the items ordered, and resolves all shipment related errors with the distributors/suppliers;

•Processes the payments for purchases, by forwarding the received documentation and invoice after reconciling of same;

•System (NAV and internal system KACS) entry and update;

•KAIZEN to improve company's work flow with other departments.

•Documentation, including data analysis, reports and manual); 

•Accomplishes purchasing and organizational missions, by completing related tasks as needed;

•Manage network orders, by being a single point of contact for all internal, customer and carrier related matters;

•Coordination of activation and network circuit testing between carriers and internal engineering team;

•Creates and provides purchasing planning and control information, by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing all data and related trends;

•Manage all warehouse tasks, including but not limited for shipping and receiving inventory;

•Perform all other tasks assigned by your supervisor from time to time.
