The primary purpose of this position is to support the design, implementation, and validation of advanced mapping solutions for Mercedes-Benz ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). The Map Integration Engineer will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality map content for Mercedes-Benz vehicles, focusing on aligning requirements and running map validation processes.
Relocation assistance (domestic or international) is not provided for this position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the map supplier (e.g., Google) to align requirements and ensure successful implementation of map layers relevant to ADAS.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in Germany and the US to gather, clarify, and document requirements for map-related features.
- Conduct map validation processes, ensuring data quality and system compatibility.
- Contribute to the ideation and development of new solutions and innovative uses of map content for Mercedes-Benz customers.
- Provide technical support for system developers to integrate and optimize mapping technologies within vehicle platforms.
- Stay updated with advancements in mapping and navigation technologies relevant to ADAS applications.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Geodesy, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience with automotive maps or related technologies.
- Familiarity with tools such as QGIS or ArcGIS.
- Basic coding skills, preferably in Python.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a technical role.
- Valid US Driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure and automotive sensor data.
- German language skills (B1 or better).
- Knowledge of ADAS and related technologies.
The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on a wide range of factors, including, but not limited to, job-related education, skills, and experience, geographic location, and market conditions. The current salary range for this position is as follows and may be modified in the future: $111,500 - $139,500.
