Job Description:
As a Director of Acquisition Business Development, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of new business acquisition, identifying high-potential markets, and leading initiatives to acquire new clients and partnerships. This executive, self-driven role demands a seasoned leader who is comfortable navigating complex environments, with a focus on operational efficiency, market development, and revenue generation. You will work closely with the executive team to align new business acquisitions with HPE’s growth objectives, ensuring seamless execution and value creation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute strategies to identify and secure new business opportunities, with a strong focus on acquiring new clients and expanding HPE’s market presence.
- Collaborate with executive management to define long-term acquisition goals and implement actionable plans to achieve them.
- Drive operational efficiencies across the business development process, ensuring resource optimization and consistent performance.
- Develop market entry strategies to accelerate growth in targeted industries and regions, ensuring alignment with HPE’s broader goals.
- Utilize data and market insights to drive strategic decisions, optimize the acquisition pipeline, and maximize business impact.
- Build and maintain high-level relationships with key clients and stakeholders, ensuring HPE is positioned as a strategic partner in their success.
- Represent HPE at industry events and in high-profile meetings, enhancing the company’s reputation and brand presence.

- Executive presence and excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proven success in driving new business acquisition and scaling market development strategies.
- Strong data-driven approach, with the ability to analyze market trends and develop actionable insights.
- Proven ability to delegate and build successful teams/organizations.
- Ability to create and follow up on clear and measurable new logo attainment targets with different geographic regions.
- Ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership to set and achieve acquisition goals.
- Demonstrated understanding of key HPE sales methodologies, i.e. Challenger.
- Self-motivated, with a results-driven mindset and a focus on achieving growth and operational excellence.
Education and Experience Required:
- Management consulting experience highly desired.
- Prior corporate leadership.
- Achieved planned financial results at an organizational level.
- Acted as a senior executive in a global company responsible for operational efficiency.
- Exercised leadership on external business or industry board is preferred.
- 10+ years experience of demonstrable net new logo attainment.
Strategize and Develop Acquisition Programs:
- Lead the development and execution of scalable acquisition programs with a focus on business development and pipeline creation.
- Collaborate with geographic (Geo) teams to tailor acquisition strategies that address regional market dynamics and opportunities.
Target New Logo Customers:
- Design and implement business development initiatives specifically targeted at acquiring net new logo customers.
- Develop innovative tactics to identify, engage, and convert new prospects into long-term customers.
Collaborative Execution:
- Work closely with Geo teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of acquisition strategies across different regions.
- Foster collaboration between sales, marketing, and product teams to create cohesive and effective acquisition programs.
Performance Monitoring:
- Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor the success of acquisition programs and make data-driven adjustments as needed.
- Regularly report on the progress and outcomes of acquisition initiatives to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Market Intelligence and Adaptation:
- Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to continuously refine acquisition strategies.
- Adapt acquisition approaches based on market feedback and performance data to maximize impact and ROI.

USD Annual Salary: $138,500.00 - $335,500.00
