JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our dynamic Finance team. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of the company's receivables processes. The ideal candidate will excel in communication, problem-solving, and leveraging technology to streamline workflows while maintaining excellent client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Invoice Management: Prepare, review, and issue accurate invoices to clients in accordance with contractual agreements.
- Collections: Proactively manage overdue accounts through effective communication with clients, resolving disputes, and negotiating payment plans when necessary.
- Reconciliations: Reconcile accounts receivable and unearned balances regularly to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Reporting: Prepare and present detailed accounts receivable aging reports to management, highlighting risks and opportunities for improvement.
- System Optimization: Utilize financial software (e.g., Sage Intacct, ServiceNow, or other tools) to streamline AR processes and improve efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, customer success, and operations teams to address client billing inquiries and ensure a seamless financial process.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and relevant accounting standards.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or related finance roles. Experience in the IT or cybersecurity industry is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Sage Intacct, ServiceNow) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships professionally and effectively.
- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to resolving billing issues and reconciling discrepancies.
- Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment.
