Cassia, a healthcare organization, is hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist to work with our growing department that focus on billing for Medicare A, Managed Care, and Medicaid. The Accounts Receivable Specialist reports to the Director of Reimbursement. At our recently renovated Edina Home Office, you will find a supportive leadership team and friendly staff who are dedicated to the well-being of our senior care residents. We serve facilities in Minnesota, North Dakota, Iowa, Colorado, and Florida.

This position is Hybrid. You must be able to work at the corporate office in Edina, Minnesota for the training period and part of each week. 

Accounts Receivable Specialist responsibilities: 

  • Complete Care Center and Assisted Living billing.
  • Post cash and ancillaries to accounts accurately and timely.
  • Generate private pay statements. 
  • Generate claims and submits them timely and accurately for all payers responsible for.
  • Perform all collection for payers assigned to ensure timely payments.
  • Manage days outstanding for all facilities assigned to meet organizations requirements.
  • Determine if there are billing issues causing payment delays and corrects them.
  • Perform all closing functions timely and accurately.
  • Understand and is accomplished in using the following systems: DDE, MN-ITS, Excel, Third Party payer websites.
  • Meet deadlines as assigned by manager. 
  • Participate in internal committees and meetings.
  • Participate in staff training programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Accounts Receivable Specialist Skills and Requirements:

  • Must have 1+ years of healthcare billing experience.
  • Must have Medicare A, Managed Care, Medicaid billing experience.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
