This role is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting. The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. The Accounting Supervisor supervises accounting personnel and is responsible for managing the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner. The Accounting Supervisor addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation. The qualified candidates for the Accounting Supervisor role will have a Minimum five years accounting experience with a minimum of three years in a supervisory position. This role will need to have direct experience with payroll, account payable, accounts receivables, tax reporting, and financial statements.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and procedures.
- Team oriented
- Able to effectively work with senior management, customers and vendors.
- At times, must be willing to be “hands-on” to accomplish the workload.
- Must have a high degree of confidentiality and discretion. Must be able to work in a highly automated environment.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and inspire your team.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
