Ferring is hiring a Finance professional in Lisbon to strengthen the Finance CoE, with focus on Accounting & Reporting activities for European markets. Your day at Ferring
As Accounting and Reporting Specialist and working in close collaboration with local Finance departments and Business Process Outsourcing, the specific responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to:
BPO Partnership and Oversight

Collaborate with the BPO on daily activities, reviewing operational work to ensure compliance with Ferring’s accounting standards, supporting continuous improvement and accuracy in accounting activities.

Supports the implementation of best practices in collaboration with BPO teams, to enhance efficiency and alignment with Ferring’s objectives (eg SOPs)

Acts as a primary point of contact for BPO operations inquiries, providing guidance and working jointly to identify areas for improvement.
Financial Reconciliations and Reporting /Daily Operations

Approve intercompany and account reconciliations regularly, validating the accuracy of entries and making adjustments as needed

Accounts Reconciliations

AP/AR/A2R analysis

Local Team support

Tax calculations

Accruals and Deferrals

Approve VAT reconciliations and ensure timely submission, coordinating with the BPO and local teams for accuracy.

Ensure monthly reporting packages are submitted in time, following Ferring’s standards and deadlines to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Internal Controls and Compliance Support

Support internal control activities by conducting compliance checks on BPO-managed tasks, confirming adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Assist with audit preparations, providing required documentation and addressing auditor inquiries related to BPO, Fin CoE and local Finance tasks.

Identify and address compliance risks within daily operations, escalating issues to the relevant stakeholders when necessary.

Stay updated on best practices to introduce new ideas for process enhancement.
Behind our innovation…There’s you
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Business Administration, Corporate Finance, Accounting or related field.
- 3 to 5 years relevant work experience as Accounting and Reporting Specialist, ideally within a CoE or SSC.
- Demonstrated solid analytical capacity and understanding of financial and accounting principles and processes.
- Experience working with SAP and/or Navision
- Ability to work in a matrix organization, demonstrating excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Business acumen, problem-solving, customer focus and collaboration skills are essential.
- Proficient/fluent in English.
