Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial reporting, analysis, and compliance while ensuring the integrity of our financial data. This position requires strong analytical skills, technical accounting knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic environment. This is an on-site role.
Responsibilities and Duties
- This role is critical to supporting the growth of our financing department and ensuring strong financial oversight
- Oversee accounting and financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Manage general bookkeeping, financial documentation, and record-keeping
- Supervise daily treasury and cash management functions, providing timely reporting
- Lead accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting processes
- Deliver accurate and complete financial reports within 10 business days of month-end
- Implement and maintain financial controls to identify and mitigate risks
- Compile and prepare financial documentation for audits
- Play a key role in the development and implementation of ERP systems to enhance efficiency
- Develop and implement best practices across financial, administrative, and account management teams, reducing duplication and increasing efficiency
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting is a must, CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience with demonstrated leadership.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in manufacturing and inventory settings. Previous retail industry experience a plus.
- NetSuite experience and current versions of Microsoft Excel required. Power BI experience is a plus.
- Prior public accounting experience is a must.
- Experience working in a SOX environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be analytical and detail oriented and possess excellent documentation skills.
- Expected to serve as a resource to others for knowledge transfer, training and checking work. - May occasionally lead a special project or team.
- Strong business acumen to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to interact effectively with various levels of staff and management across departments.
- Strong attention to detail, as well as demonstrated problem-solving and independent decision-making capabilities.
- Exceptional organization, time-management, and prioritization skills, as well as on-the-job flexibility and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
