Lead accounting services and processes to ensure timely and accurate accounting in accordance with IQVIA Finance Standard Procedures and with US GAAP as well as local GAAP and tax rules for the business units (group of legal entities).
Essential Functions
• Responsible for all aspects of accounting (accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, general ledger entries, bank reconciliation, credit card expense report reconciliation, cash applications, collections)
• Responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial processing, month end close, cash management reports, and balance sheet reconciliation
• Manage country units’ accounting and reporting processes effectively; prepare / supervise month end closes; supervise any tax calculations declarations and annual statutory accounts.
• Act as contact person for external audits. Ensure that all financial and accounting records are thoroughly maintained in preparation for independent external audits
• Act as contact person for external tax advisors during the corporate income tax return preparation
• Supervise all accounting processes in line with with IQVIA internal guidelines/policies and local tax and accounting standards
• Establish reasonable internal controls and maintain adequate and current documentation of the systems of internal control.
• Ensure that all processes and decisions are in line with IQVIA policies and local legal/statutory requirements.
• May act as contact person with tax consultants and tax authorities.
• Ensure appropriate communication with all business partners & support business partners in financial decisions, if required.
• Review financial systems, processes and procedures on an ongoing basis for further development of efficiencies.
• Oversee timely completion of detailed account reconciliation and follow-up/resolve open items.
• Manage Finance related projects as needed
• May manage current assets and liquidity of cash management.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's/Master Degree in Finance area
• 7 years’ experience in accounting Or Equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Ability to identify financial issues, develop and execute mitigating actions.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and external auditors.
• Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work requirements to meet deadlines.
• Good IT/excel skills, SAP and finance systems such as blackline
• Experience of working within regional teams in a matrix environment is advantageous
• Ability to manage and direct employees
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong influencing skills
• Technical accounting skills.
• Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical and numeracy skills.
• Local Language CZ/SK knowledge and Fluency in English is required
