JOB SUMMARY:

The Accounting Manager reports to the Director of Accounting & Tax and will protect and grow the amazing company culture by supporting the Accounting team with daily, monthly, and annual financial requirements and compliance. Responsibilities include managing the month-end close process, preparing and reviewing complex account reconciliations and improving general accounting processes. QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• 3+ years of related experience in progressively responsible accounting roles, including multi-unit and franchise experience.
• Proficient in all Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Medium to large company ERP experience, with NetSuite a plus.
• Tax experience is a plus.
• Must be collaborative, able to fulfill and adapt to the requests of our internal and external clients.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks based on heavy workload; meets deadlines consistently.
• Values accountability and efficiency.
• Places a high importance on accuracy and problem solving.
• Demonstrates strong organizational, analytical, and technical accounting skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Record necessary adjustments for ASC 842 lease accounting using Visual Lease
• Assisting with day-to-day accounting transactions, including the preparation and posting of journal entries and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
• Record necessary adjustments to deferred revenue based on data from the point-of-sale system, promotions, and gift card activity
• Supervise and review the reconciliation of cash deposits from the parks and all other bank transactions
• Supervise and review the preparation of sales/use and property tax returns
• Mentor and develop three direct reports (two in Accounting and one in Tax), including training and giving direction and accounting guidance to the team as needed
• Build and maintain cross-functional relationships with other department leaders
• Spearhead other tasks and duties as assigned to meet the Company’s business and operational needs

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• This position requires the ability to remain stationary while working on a computer all day, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Compensation range is $110-$120k + bonus based on qualifications, experience, and performance.  Full-time employees at Sky Zone enjoy a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage along with a 401k plan with company matching. Eligibility for 401k is based on age and tenure requirements.
