During the Accounting Internship, you will report to the Accounting Manager while working closely with the accounting team. This position will primarily focus on accounts payable and external audit support and will have an opportunity to take on additional tasks and areas of responsibility, as needed. This is a great opportunity to begin your accounting/finance career and learn from an experienced and highly collaborative team!

Responsibilities

  • Process vendor invoices, employee expense reports and credit card transactions in Chrome River, Tipalti and NetSuite ERP systems.
  • Prepare journal entries and assist in month-end close tasks.
  • Assist in the year-end audit procedures, including preparing and organizing support.
  • Assist in monthly and quarterly tax filings.
  • Issue customer invoices from the Company’s billing system, Maxio.
  • Assist in other ad hoc projects on an as needed basis, including but not limited to receipt audits, on-going vendor maintenance and clean-up, etc.

Qualifications

  • Studying for a Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance or Management.
  • Desire to gain experience in accounting and external audit management.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple activities simultaneously and independently.
  • Must be proficient with various computer programs including MS Excel and Word.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented.
  • Proficient English written and verbal communications skills required to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.
