Job Summary:
The Accounting / Finance Intern will gain hands-on experience in accounting and finance operations, supporting various functions within the department.
Job Description:
Accounting Tasks:
- Assist in preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
- Help maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.
Data Management:
- Perform data entry, validation, and analysis tasks in accounting software.
- Maintain organized documentation and filing systems for financial records.
Compliance and Auditing:
- Assist in internal and external audit preparations.
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations and company policies.
Collaboration and Projects:
- Work closely with team members on special projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Provide administrative support to the finance team when necessary.
- All Ad hoc projects
Financial Analysis:
- Assist in preparing financial reports, summaries, and forecasts.
- Analyze financial data and identify trends or variances.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process as needed.
EDUCATION
- Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with other financial tools is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Previous internship or experience in accounting/finance is an advantage but not required.
