The Accounting and Finance Director is responsible for overseeing the Finance and Accounting function for all business operations in Texas (Houston and Dallas) inside and outside of the month-end reporting cycle. We are seeking an organized leader who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment with a growing company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting and finance functions for operating entities in the Texas region, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and GAAP.
  • Partner closely with Area Vice President of Operations to provide financial insights, helping drive profitability, efficiency, and cost control measures.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial results to the President of Operations, providing clear variance analysis and business drivers.
  • Lead and execute the annual budgeting process, working with operations to develop forecasts aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely reconciliations, accruals, and reporting across both entities.
  • Support external audits, ensuring proper documentation and compliance across financial processes.
  • Effectively manage and coach Accounting and Finance department, ensuring accountability, professional growth, and alignment with business objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7-10+ years of Accounting and Finance experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a finance, accounting, business or a related field
  • Understanding of Percentage of Completion accounting, or ability to be trained
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Access, or the ability to be trained
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and both detail and process oriented
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
