Position type: Non-Exempt
Position Overview: Under limited (or very limited) supervision, performs a (wide) variety of accounting tasks of moderate complexity in one or more of the following areas: General Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable. Serves on related project teams in a user capacity.
Responsibilities:
- Occasionally could also perform some cost accounting tasks.
- Reconciles accounts, posts information, balances general and subsidiary ledgers, processes payments and compiles segments of monthly closing, annual reports, etc.
- Adapts procedures and process to increase efficiency.
- Communicates with vendors, customers, management and employees in a professional manner as required. Manages AP scanning process.
- May assist in training others.
Preferred Education/Experience:
- High school diploma required, plus minimum of 5 years of related experience. College degree or coursework in Accounting desirable.
- SAP experience preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, WORD, scanning software, and internet applications helpful.
- General knowledge of basic to complex accounting principles. Individual should be flexible and possess a solid desire to make a positive difference to the organization at the micro and the macro level.
