Ford and SK On are investing billions in Kentucky and Tennessee including building three state-of-the-art battery manufacturing facilities between the two campuses at BlueOval City in Tennessee and BlueOval SK Battery Park in Kentucky. These brand-new advanced manufacturing facilities will use Ford’s 100 years of automobile manufacturing expertise and SK On’s 30+ years of electric vehicle battery expertise to become the world’s best battery manufacturer.
About the Opportunity
The Accounting & Tax Manager at BlueOval SK will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a key member of the start-up team, launching the facility from the ground up.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Prepare monthly financial statements and presents to management with analysis.
- Perform periodic closing of accounts on SAP system.
- Completes complex problem resolution.
- Collaborates with other key departments (purchasing, planning, production).
- Governance and internal control compliance responsibility.
- Leads all audits, external, internal and Tax audit.
- Ensures compliance with IFRS/GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
- Prepare documents for tax filing.
- Performs other duties are assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Comprehensive understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (IFRS/US-GAAP) and federal, state and local taxes.
- Strong analytical skills necessary to review/analyze accounting and financial data.
- Previous experience in SAP in manufacturing setting.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting or related field.
- 12+ years of progressively more responsible financial experience and demonstrated leadership ability.
Preferred Experience
- CPA is strongly preferred.
