Main Responsibilities:
Implement and/or Setup Process & System Deployment, Controls and Compliance:
- Support to design new GIMS processes and workflow, implement new ERP system for new market.
- Align internal controls to ensure compliance with WSM process.
- Coordinate with external auditors and ensure a smooth audit process.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns.
General Ledger & Financial Reporting:
- Maintain the general ledger and oversee day-to-day accounting activities to ensure a proper interaction and flow of information with other departments.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow management.
- Monitor account receivables, reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Ensuring correct and timely payments to suppliers
- Ensure compliance with WMS policies, accounting principles, IFRS standards and regulatory requirements.
Financial Analysis & Budgeting:
- Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with business leader to develop and monitor budgets, and forecasts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Fiinance, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in the accounting field.
- Accounting professional certification is required, such as ACCA, CICA, MICPA or any related certificates certified under MIA will be preferred.
- Exposure in IFRS will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent in communication and collaboration.
- Knowledgeable in SAP is preferred.
- Fluency in English is a must. Mandarin is preferred to support new markets.
