As an Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and supporting the preparation of comprehensive financial reports. This role requires a strong foundation in accounting principles, exceptional analytical skills, and proficiency in financial software. The ideal candidate will also have experience with collections, revenue accounting, and customer invoicing, with a proactive approach to ensuring timely payments.
The impact you'll have:
- Record and post journal entries with precision and compliance with accounting standards.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Conduct account reconciliations by verifying supporting documentation, identifying and resolving variances, and maintaining detailed descriptions.
- Prepare detailed financial reports to support data-driven business decisions.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies, audit standards, accounting disclosure requirements, and legal regulations.
- Manage customer invoicing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of invoices.
- Oversee payment collections, actively following up to ensure prompt payment and resolving any discrepancies.
- Support revenue accounting, ensuring accurate recording and reporting of revenue transactions.
- Assist in month-end close activities, ensuring all payments and transactions are accurately recorded.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement in accounting and financial reporting.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Experience with collections, customer invoicing, and revenue accounting is highly desirable.
U.S. Pay Range
$65,000—$85,000 USD

SchoolStatus intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, such as experience.
