About the Role:
We're on the lookout for an Accountant to join our Accounting team.
In this role you'll join a dynamic team that believes in pushing boundaries, challenging the status quo, and embracing diversity of thought.
What You'll Do:
Financial Transactions:
a).Execute flawless bookkeeping and recording of financial transactions through effective use of accounting softwares (e.g QuickBooks and Tally).
b).Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail when preparing and processing payments to vendors, ensuring unwavering accuracy and adherence to payment terms.
c).Exhibit exceptional problem-solving skills to reconcile bank statements and swiftly resolve any discrepancies and assist the senior accounting team in preparing monthly bank reconciliation statements and cash outflow reports for management review and evaluation.
Efficient Handling of Payments:
a).Excel in managing accounts receivable functions, including generating customer invoices, tracking payments, and promptly following up on outstanding receivables.
General Ledger and Financial Statements:a).Maintain and update general ledger accounts, performing regular reconciliations, and ensuring absolute accuracy.b).Collaborate seamlessly with the senior accounting team to prepare journal entries and adjust entries for month-end and year-end closing activitiesc).Play a pivotal role in the timely delivery of accurate financial reports, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with the team.
Compliance and Documentation:a).Assist in compliance with local accounting regulations and standards in all jurisdictions (e.g. Filing of annual returns, filing of GST returns, filing of TDS return, etc.) and reporting the same to the company management via a compliance log.
b).Assist in providing necessary documentation and support during internal and external audits.
Team Collaboration:
a).Proactively foster strong collaboration with the senior accounting team and cross-functional departments to facilitate smooth financial operations.
b).Showcases excellent communication skills by collaborating with colleagues to resolve complex accounting issues and address inquiries related to financial transactions.
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Prior experience in an accounting or finance role of 1-2 years is mandatory
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Familiarity with accounting software, preferably QuickBooks and Tally
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
- Proficient in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Good to have:
- Experience in managing accounting for multiple entities and jurisdictions is highly desirable.
- Interest in learning new accounting softwares and evolving international norms in accounting.
