Accountant II

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an enthusiastic Accountant II to join and help build our EMEA Accountant team. In this role, you will be involved in performs the day-to-day financial accounting and compliance reports.
As an Accountant II, you will have the opportunity to play a crucial and broadly visible role and help provide valuable insights to support our decision-making processes. At UL Solutions, we are looking for someone who wants to build up a solid accounting base of understanding and eventually wants to improve
You will report directly to the Accounting Manager - in Istanbul and receive support to ensure your growth and success. This a hybrid role, based at our Istanbul, Turkey office.
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supporting month end, quarter end and year end close under Türkiye GAAP & US GAAP
• Being supporting function of preparation of annual statutory reporting for ULS Türkiye entity
• Communicate with local auditors and taking role of audit processes
• Being familiar to intercompany processes is desirable
• Being familiar to accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash application and fixed asset
• Support/prepare/reply to monthly account reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations
• To communicate shared service team located out of Türkiye
• Supporting implementation of accounting control procedures
• Having experience on E-Invoice, E-Archive and E-Ledger practices
• Supporting local manager on Ad-hoc reporting
• Assists in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and programs in areas of specialization

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance and/or related field
• Having/being intern of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) will be preferred
• At least 3 years practical experience with month end, quarter end and year end reporting
• At least 3 years relevant experience in an international organization including experience in group & tax reporting
• Good level local GAAP knowledge
• Having MS Office (especially MS Excel) knowledge and Oracle knowledge and experience are desirable.
• Takes ownership of assigned tasks
• Ability to work independent and in collaborative work style as part of a team/team-player
• Good communication skills and ability to multitask
• Fluent Turkish and good writing and communication skills in English
