- Tax Compliance:
- Prepare and file accurate tax returns, including Value Added Tax (VAT), Withholding Tax, Income Tax, Excise Tax, and other statutory taxes.
- Ensure timely compliance with Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) regulations and submission deadlines.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and advise the company on updates and compliance adjustments.
- Tax Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports for management and statutory filings.
- Assist in the preparation of tax provisions for financial reporting purposes (for audit purposes).
- Maintain tax-related records and documentation in compliance with the law.
- Tax Planning & Strategy:
- Advise the management team on tax-saving strategies and opportunities.
- Analyze and evaluate the tax impact of new business decisions, investments, and activities.
- Assist in tax planning for business operations to optimize the tax position of the company.
- Audit Support:
- Liaise with tax authorities during tax audits and assessments, providing necessary documentation and supporting the defense of the company’s tax positions.
- Assist in preparing responses to tax notices or queries from the BIR.
- Reconciliations and Payments:
- Ensure accurate tax-related reconciliation of accounts.
- Prepare and process tax payments, ensuring they are done on time to avoid penalties or interest charges.
- Internal Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments (finance, legal, HR, etc.) to ensure proper tax treatment of transactions.
- Provide tax advice and guidance to internal teams on tax matters
