About the Role
Input and keep updated in SAP the cost elements of the products manufactured in Harman provide expense analysis of freight, DL, DVO, material obsolescence, among others.
What You Will Do
- Provide daily financial and operational results through narrative and analytical reports (Sales, material cost and usage, scrap, MFG, variable expenses (Maintenance, tooling, supplies, labor, overtime, etc.)
- Costing analysis (Raw Material, semi finish good, Finish Good)
- Material Usage and Price Variance
- Scrap analysis and reporting
- Cost reductions validation, expense control
- The scope of the role is within country. However, a cost analysis can also affect procurement process in the U.S.
- E&O inventory analysis, risk and disposition.
- Month closing maintain and reconcile the plant general ledger.
- Responsible for the scrap control, disposition and sale.
- Leadership is a necessary skill in the process. Cost accountant needs to be involved in the problem solving process of the company. A decision taken by the staff considering cost accountant analysis shall be aligned with the company goals.
- A deep knowledge of accounting principles is necessary to perform the cost accountant role. Proficiency in SAP and excel is mandatory.
- HARMAN competencies for this role shall be orientation, collaboration, judgements and results driven
What You Need
- 5 years of previous experience in similar position is recommended.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting is necessary.
- Analytical, self-motivated, integrity, team working.
- Customer specific requirements (applicable)
- SAP experience
What is Nice to Have
- Experience in automotive industry will be appreciated.
- Communication skills, international work experience will be appreciated.
