What you’ll do ​& Who you are

We're looking for a Junior Accountant (d/f/m) to join our Accounting Team in Berlin.

The Financial Accounting & Controlling Team in Germany is responsible for a broad range of activities and works closely with local teams (FP&A, legal, HR), the Central Regional Accounting team in Amsterdam, Central Functions in Barcelona and Shared Services in Romania and India.

You will report to the local Head of Accounting & Controlling, mobile.de. This is a hybrid role (2-3 office days/ week), and our office is based in Berlin Charlottenburg.

What you'll do:

• Manage daily finance operations of our local businesses (e.g. review and approval of customer contracts, handling of customer payout and credit notes)

• Collaborate with different local and central Finance teams

• Handle further daily operations, including invoice checks, travel reimbursement checks and monitoring of local policies

• Support month end close activities

• Support preparation of financial statement according to local German GAAP (HGB)

• Monitor Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes

• Work with the central Finance systems and local billing teams to ensure smooth operations for our local business

• Work with local Customer Service and Sales teams to align and optimise Finance operations and solve customer disputes

Your profile:

• Bachelor- or Masters degree / MBA Accounting & Controlling

• 2+ years of experience in similar roles with a focus on Accounting

• Operational finance capability; close & compliance experience

• Ability to simplify and communicate complex problems in a clear way for the business

• Demonstrate ability to partner with the different levels in the organisation

• Excellent analytical skills

• Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Navision, SAP, Salesforce or similar consolidating/reporting/ERP tools

• (Very) Good German and English skills in writing and speaking
