We are looking for an Accountant, with 3+ years of experience. Working alongside Chris, our accounting manager, and Laura, our controller, you would be part of a dynamic and skilled team of accountants and bookkeepers. This team works diligently to ensure that all our financial information is processed accurately and carried out according to protocol. You would be tasked with updating and maintaining journals, ledgers, and other other records detailing all financial business transactions.

Many career paths can prepare you for this life-changing opportunity, but preferably, you’re highly skilled in:

• Perform bookkeeping, general ledger & balance sheet entries & reconciliations;
• Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities;
• Managing A/P, A/R and performing credit card and bank reconciliations;
• Maintain close working relationships with suppliers & clients;
• Assisting in year-end audit file preparation and working with auditors;
• Performing monthly analysis (P&L and BS);
• Create, improve and maintain current business processes and accounting policies, and establish best practices for all financial reporting cycles (bank, AR, AP, payroll);
• Teamwork, to collaborate with the Finance Squad and contribute to the overall success of our company;
• Aid with other on-going and ad hoc analyses and preparation of various information.
  

Here are the requirements for this role:

• 3+ years of experience;
• English & French (spoken and written) is required;
• Netsuite experience is an asset;
• Prior knowledge of travel industry accounting and reporting is an asset;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders;
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Excel);
• Ability to shift focus given changing priorities and time constraints;
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

* Please note this position is a contract role with the possibility of extending to a full-time permanent position in Montreal, Quebec, and on-site.

Nous recherchons un(e) comptable, avec plus de 3 ans d'expérience. Travaillant aux côtés de Chris, notre responsable comptable, et de Laura, notre contrôleur, vous ferez partie d'une équipe dynamique et compétente de comptables et d'aides-comptables. Cette équipe travaille avec diligence pour s'assurer que toutes nos informations financières sont traitées avec précision et conformément au protocole. Vous serez chargé(e) de mettre à jour et de conserver les journaux, les grands livres et d'autres documents détaillant toutes les transactions financières de l'entreprise.

• Effectuer les écritures comptables, les écritures du grand livre et du bilan et les rapprochements ;
• Participer aux activités de clôture du mois et de l'année ;
• Gérer les comptes fournisseurs, les comptes clients et effectuer les rapprochements bancaires et de cartes de crédit ;
• Maintenir des relations de travail étroites avec les fournisseurs et les clients ;
• Aider à la préparation des dossiers d'audit de fin d'année et travailler avec les auditeurs ;
• Effectuer des analyses mensuelles (P&L et BS) ;
• Créer, améliorer et maintenir les processus opérationnels et les politiques comptables actuels, et établir les meilleures pratiques pour tous les cycles de reporting financier (banque, AR, AP, paie) ;
• Vous avez un esprit d'équipe, vous collaborez avec l'équipe financière et vous contribuez au succès global de notre entreprise ;
• Aider à d'autres analyses en cours et ad hoc et à la préparation de diverses informations.

Voici les exigences pour ce poste :

• 3 ans d'expérience ou plus ;
• L'anglais et le français (parlé et écrit) sont requis ;
• Une expérience de Netsuite est un atout ;
• Une connaissance préalable de la comptabilité et des rapports de l'industrie du voyage est un atout ;
• Excellentes compétences en communication orale et écrite, y compris la capacité à communiquer efficacement avec les parties prenantes internes et externes ;
• Excellente maîtrise des outils informatiques (MS Office - Excel) ;
• Capacité à changer d'orientation en fonction de l'évolution des priorités et des contraintes de temps ;
• Capacité à travailler sous pression et à respecter les délais.

* Le poste est un contrat avec possibilité d'extension à un poste permanent à temps plein à Montréal (Québec) et sur place.
