We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented sales representative for our ground freight logistics company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and expanding our client portfolio in the Georgia area, with a special focus on Atlanta, as well as Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, and northern Florida. They will specialize in the transportation of flowers and produce from Miami to the southeastern United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients in the floral and produce industry.
- Identify and attract potential new clients, including but not limited to retail flower shops, wholesale florists, funeral homes, event planners, hotels, and produce markets.
- Conduct regular visits to current and potential clients in the Georgia area and surrounding regions.
- Actively listen to client needs and effectively communicate them to the company.
- Provide updated information on market trends, competition, and business opportunities.
- Generate B2B cold calls and create sales quotations with perspective clients.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and retention, and review route viability.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions.
Qualifications:
- Proven sales experience, preferably in the logistics or freight transportation industry.
- Solid knowledge of the Georgia area and its surroundings, including Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, and northern Florida.
- Own a vehicle and have a valid driver's license.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Ability to work independently and proactively prospect new clients.
- Strong negotiation, sales, and closing skills.
- Knowledge of the floral and produce industry is preferred.
- Regularly report on market trends in flower and produce logistics in the region.
- Identify and report on competitor activities and market innovations.
- Propose strategies to improve our services and maintain a competitive advantage.
- Attend industry events and trade shows for networking and lead generation.
