Dempsey & Siders Agency, Inc. is seeking a Personal Lines Account Representative. This individual may work a hybrid schedule out of the Blue Ash, OH office.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains relationships and favorable contacts with current and new Personal Line accounts.
- Actively seeks information to understand customer’s circumstances, problems, expectations, and needs.
- Shares and/or conveys information with customers, regarding their account(s), maintaining a professional demeanor in all situations.
- Performs all policy maintenance/management functions – Policy Changes, Underwriting Requests, Coverage/Policy Inquiries, Billing Inquiries, Filing Claims, Claims Inquiries, etc.
- Renewals.
- Proactive Review: Compares expiring term to renewal term, checks for changes, or new available coverages or endorsements. Makes recommendations to clients.
- Remarkets: (As needed) Quotes account with other carriers to offer improved pricing or coverage options to clients.
- Cross Sell: Recommends enhanced coverages or new policies to clients.
- New Business.
- New Clients: Assists Producers with quoting new business for the agency.
- Existing Clients: Secures new Lines of Business for existing customers.
- Participates in ensuring client accounts are maintained in good standing.
- Utilizes computerized systems for tracking, documenting questions/responses, information gathering and/or troubleshooting.
- Process daily incoming mail and policy/eDoc downloads.
- Maintains in-depth product and industry knowledge. Knows and understands the underwriting and rating procedure for all personal lines policies with each carrier. Applies to all aspects of this role.
- All work completed in accordance with Agency Standards and outlined timeframes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent experience.
- Generally, a minimum of 3 years of experience in personal lines.
- Personal lines Account Remarket experience is a plus.
- P&C Insurance licensure is required.
- Able to come into the office at least 3 days a week.
