About the Role
Woodruff Sawyer’s Middle Markets practice is looking for a dynamic and collaborative Account Manager. Account Managers are responsible for placement, renewal and overall service of new and existing business. Account Managers act as ambassadors both internally and externally to Woodruff Sawyer, commanding a high degree of technical knowledge and the ability to speak confidently about the markets and coverages with Account Executives and clients. Account Managers work closely with the Account Executive to drive strategy and ensure the process is moving along smoothly.
What You’ll Do
- Stay up to date with coverages and market trends affecting assigned book of business, demonstrating ability to clearly communicate these details with clients
- Responsible for coordinating with Account Coordinators and Account Executives; ability to work directly with a Producer, with no Account Executive involvement, when necessary
- Create client deliverables, participate in client presentations and the strategic planning process
- Effectively manage multiple clients in accordance with P&C practice service requirements and best practices in order to sustain client retention
- Lead Marketing and/or Renewal process; request information from the markets and client, review all documents pertaining to client coverage issues, develop specifications and secure quotes; analyze proposals/quotes in order to negotiate changes and/or make recommendations to the client
- Participate in delivery of strategic overview on accounts, requesting information from the markets and client and reviewing documents pertaining to client needs
- Demonstrate ability to build positive relationships with clients, carriers and team members
- Responsible for timely policy review and delivery
- Manage contract review and effectively explain and clarify details with client verbally and/or in writing
- Demonstrate the ability to market and cross-sell additional lines of coverage, involving team members when faced with a challenging issue or to showcase additional Woodruff Sawyer capabilities

Experience & Qualifications
- College degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent analytical, negotiation and organizational skills; ability to multi-task and shift focus as priorities change
- Required to obtain the applicable insurance license(s) within 90 days of date of hire.
- Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Ability to travel as necessary

More About Us
Compensation: Anticipated salary between $75,750.00 – $126,250.00. Salary offered will be dependent upon geography, experience, and expertise of the candidate.
This position is eligible to participate in an incentive program to earn additional compensation with a target equivalent to 8% of salary annually, based on individual and Company performance.
