Job Type:  Full-time; 3 Days In Office 

Job Location:  Los Angeles, CA

Salary Range:  $120,000.00 - $180,000.00 (On Target Earning)

The Opportunity

As an Account Executive, you are the primary link between Kargo and the marketplace. In this sales role, you’ll develop relationships with brands and agencies to ultimately align Kargo’s value proposition with their various challenges and goals. Manage full sales cycle (prospecting to pitch to close to renewal) for an assigned territory.

The Daily To-Do

  • Evangelizes Kargo as a consultative partner providing world-class customer service and developing strategic partnerships. Represents Kargo's values and philosophy to the world
  • Creates and grows partnerships both brand direct and with key agencies. Develops corporate contacts and cultivates relationships at all levels that enhance Kargo's position
  • Possesses a strong baseline understanding of the full digital eco-system, with a curiosity to always learn more
  • Works to deeply understand the customer's business, challenges, and goals. Increases revenue from positioning and presenting new and existing products, preparing appropriate proposals, closing the sale, and growing the relationship long-term
  • Exhibits a HUNTER mentality – an appetite for building and closing deals. This includes growing the market share of current business and driving new business
  • Maintains complete and accurate documentation in SalesForce of all activity, including forward-looking forecasts
  • Maintains broad knowledge of company products and their capabilities as well as the strengths/ weaknesses of competitive products
  • Cycle market response back to the company, primarily the product organization, to help inform our roadmap and positioning
  • Interface with Kargo's creative, design, and yield teams to develop sound, compelling proactive ideas and proposals
  • Works very closely with Account Management and support teams to service, maintain, renew, and up-sell current clients

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of media agency experience (i.e. planner, digital investment, strategy/comm design, programmatic investment) or ad tech experience (i.e. account management, sales support role)
  • 1+ years of media sales experience is a plus (Account Executive, SDR, etc)
  • Possesses some industry relationships, with a drive to build and grow network
  • Preferred experience within digital and programmatic technology
  • Solid knowledge of digital and mobile marketing, with an emphasis on creative
  • Must possess superb written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a highly motivated team player
  • PowerPoint, Excel, and Word skills are a must. Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus
  • Passion for sales/marketing, and have the ability to adjust quickly to changing demands or strategies
  • Travel will be required
