SUMMARY:    The Account Executive works to find new customers, as well as working with existing clients, to define Audio Visual, Physical Security (CCTV, Access Control, Etc.), IT, Networking, Managed Services, and Unified Communications opportunities and many other solutions in our vast portfolio. This includes Cloud or Premise based software, hardware, maintenance, and professional services. 

 

PRIMARY DUTIES: The  Account Executive shall be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

  • Collaborate with prospective clients to define needs and opportunities for technology solutions, support, maintenance, and professional services in the following areas:
    • Audio Visual
    • Physical Security
    • IT
    • Networking
    • Unified Communications
    • Cloud, Managed Services, and Professional Services
  • Prospect and develop new clients and business relationships through cold calling, emailing, social media and other prospecting tools, while maintaining a pipeline of qualified business.
  • Develop new business and drive gross profit by producing consistent, measurable, and financially sound technology solutions.
  • Cross-sell a broad portfolio of enterprise technology solutions offered by New Era Technology
  • Partner with C-level executives (both technical and non-technical) to articulate the end-to-end solutions along with the benefits and advantages of the New Era Technology solutions relative to competitor offerings.
  • Manage mid to large sized enterprise accounts with forecasting, quota attainment, sales presentations, and short/mid/long term opportunity management.
  • Negotiate solutions with peers, partners, and clients using a win-win philosophy.
  • Other responsibilities include weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecast accuracy, pipeline development and customer satisfaction.

 

COMPETENCY:

  • Knowledge of technology solutions in Audio Visual or AV lighting is required.
  • Preferred additional knowledge in one or more of the following- Physical Security, IT, Networking, Managed Services, and/or Unified Communications.
  • Successful in strategic account planning.
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.
  • Strong time management follow through and organizational skills.
  • Proven history of meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Must be willing to drive your own success.
  • In-depth knowledge and mastery of key elements of the selling process.
  • Excellent computer skills, including a strong familiarity with the Microsoft Platform, and understanding of technology trends and solutions within the unified communications marketplace.
  • Must be willing to travel to local and non-local customer locations as required.


EXPERIENCE: 5+ years of experience in outside sales with 3+ years selling Audio Visual related sales

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Columbus, OH, remotely from home and at client sites as required.
