Role Overview:
The Political Sales Account Executive (AE) will be responsible for driving political ad revenue across Nexstar’s broadcast, digital, and CTV platforms. This role requires strong relationship management skills, a deep understanding of the political advertising landscape, and the ability to execute data-driven sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with political agencies, campaign media buyers, PACs, and advocacy groups.
- Drive advertising sales across local, national, and digital platforms, ensuring optimal revenue growth.
- Work closely with the VP of Political Sales to align strategies and capitalize on key opportunities.
- Analyze political ad spending trends and identify high-value markets for ad placements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless campaign execution and performance tracking.
- Provide market insights and competitive intelligence to enhance Nexstar’s position in political sales.
- Maintain a deep understanding of FCC regulations, compliance standards, and public file reporting.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in political ad sales or a related media sales role.
- Strong understanding of political media buying cycles, fundraising patterns, and advocacy advertising.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts, negotiate high-stakes deals, and drive revenue in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to engage with high-level political buyers.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 plus bonus
