Job Description
The Business Development Director will be responsible of helping accelerating Visa's growth and strengthening stakeholder engagement in Puerto Rico. He or She will be responsible to support the relationship of all clients of the organization, and other key
stakeholders (i.e., Finctechs, Media, etc.) in the marketplace.
Key Responsibilities

Execute a set of objectives and goals for assigned clients ensuring that such objectives adhere to Visa mission statement of increasing Clients’ profitability, strengthening the partnership within them and in agreement with Visa Inc. overall strategy.

Manage the revenue, expense, capital expenditures and income producing activities for clients.

Increase the participation of VISA in the payments business through negotiations with assigned clients. Analyze business opportunities through permanent contact with the clients.

Maintain close contact with all Visa’s areas to search for solutions for the most critical problems, as well as to follow business trends that could be offered and applied to the clients and the market.

Attend to the specific needs of the clients by collaborating with cross-functional teams, aimed at driving towards profitable and sustainable results, in line with regional and global business initiatives to drive revenue growth for Visa Inc.

Tailor international best practices and solutions to clients, including expert models and seminars.

Analyze business opportunities and emerging customer needs to identify issues, trends, and growth opportunities for Visa.

Coordinate with the Marketing & Products Areas actions to strengthen the brand in the clients under responsibility.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and post-graduate studies (i.e., MBA)
- 10+ years of relevant experience in sales and business development
- Sound knowledge of the payment cards industry is preferred
- Knowledge of digital payments, Fintechs and technology would be a big positive
- Fluent English and Spanish including proficiency verbally and written
- Understanding of Visa products and services is a plus
- High level of personal integrity, loyalty, and ability to keep confidential information in secret is required, as the candidate will have access to sensitive and confidential client information.

- Experience working with financial indicators to measure business performance

Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 135,300.00 to 196,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
