About the Role
At Rapid7, we're on a mission to create a safer digital world. As a Commercial Account Executive, you'll play a key role in driving that mission forward by identifying new business opportunities, building meaningful customer relationships, and growing revenue within your assigned territory.
This role offers the opportunity to own a full sales cycle - from prospecting to close - while working cross-functionally with teams who are invested in your success. If you're a motivated, curious, and collaborative seller looking to make a real impact, we'd love to hear from you.
In this role you will:
- Drive growth by identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities with mid-market companies (up to 1,000 employees)
- Build and nurture relationships with prospects and existing customers, positioning Rapid7's solutions in a way that resonates with their unique challenges
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams like Sales Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales Ops to deliver a seamless customer experience
- Stay current and competitive by keeping up with industry trends, customer feedback, and competitor offerings - and using those insights to shape your approach
- Support ongoing growth by identifying upsell opportunities and helping customers get long-term value from their investments
- Communicate effectively both internally and externally, ensuring accurate forecasting and CRM hygiene through tools like Salesforce
- Leverage channel partnerships by working closely with our Value Added Resellers and partner ecosystem
The skills you'll bring include:
- 2+ years of B2B sales experience with a track record of success in driving new business and growing existing accounts
- Ability to manage a high-volume book of business with focus and prioritisation
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills - you're comfortable being a trusted advisor
- A creative and proactive approach to sourcing new opportunities and navigating complex sales cycles
- Comfort working independently while also collaborating in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
- Curiosity and a growth mindset - you're always learning and open to feedback
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools
- Experience working with channel partners or Value Added Resellers is a plus
- Willingness to travel up to 10% for customer meetings as needed
