Summary of Role
We're looking for a motivated and results-driven Account Director with deep expertise in digital sales, media companies, and sales execution to lead client retention and growth initiatives. In this pivotal role, you'll manage senior and mid-level client relationships, deliver strategic thought leadership, and oversee revenue, growth, and retention strategies. You'll play a key role in maintaining and expanding accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, and delivering accurate revenue forecasts.
The ideal candidate excels in client services, account management, and leadership, with the ability to showcase the value of holistic digital strategies.
As a leader, you'll develop and coach a team of Account Managers, fostering a strong team structure, scaling efforts, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality work. Your days will range from strategic planning to hands-on client engagements, including leading planning meetings, reviewing media plans, and presenting performance insights. Success in this role requires self-motivation, collaboration, and a drive to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities
Strategy: Work with the VP of AdCellerant Select & VP of Client Services develop a team and implement processes to retain and grow revenue among our highest-value, strategic partners and clients.
Execution: Develop and maintain valuable relationships with current and prospective partners and clients to review strategic recommendations and performance reporting to demonstrate the value of the strategies & solutions. This role will be responsible for executing retention and growth plans that align with AdCellerant's growth initiatives. This could include strategic recommendations, in-market visits, and training for teams, partners & clients.
Communication: Internal communication with the team will be a crucial responsibility of this role to ensure the team is clear on its goals and strategic plans to retain and grow revenue through our partner and client relationships. External communication will include maintaining and elevating our standards of superior customer service, presenting strategic digital advertising information in an easy-to-understand format for our partners, their clients, and the public.
Reporting: Providing status updates to the VP of Client Services weekly on active client and partner efforts, revenue, risk and retention updates, and overall health of the business. This role will also be responsible for forecasting active revenue projections on a weekly basis for monthly, quarterly & annual timeframes.

Troubleshooting: When problems arise, it will be necessary to perform troubleshooting steps to ensure that issues are properly resolved. It will also be part of your responsibility to document best practices so if the same issue arises in the future the team is better prepared to handle it. We're looking for someone with a solutions-oriented mindset.
Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in account management, client relationship management or client services in an agency environment
  • 3+ years in a leadership role, managing teams in a direct manager capacity
  • Strong knowledge of digital sales, media companies and sales execution
  • Proven ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of digital products and services, alongside holistic digital strategy
  • Demonstrable experience developing client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent


Location Information
This role is required to be located near our Denver, CO office, with hybrid work from home flexibility.
Team members must live and work in the United States* (*territories excluded), and have access to reliable, high-speed internet.
Compensation
Compensation for this role is a combination of salary and bonuses, targeting a total annual compensation range of $140,000 - $160,000. The base salary range is $100,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience. The bonus structure will be tied to the achievement of revenue targets.
