We need an English-fluent Senior Backend Engineer, based in Latin America, available to work remotely.
We are looking for someone with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, who embraces changes while maintaining strong attention to detail. An interested and proactive person, who's constantly learning and improving their skills.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend solutions using Next.js and TypeScript.
- Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines with RAG stages to ensure efficient software delivery.
- Integrate audio/video processing capabilities using ffmpeg or equivalent tools into our applications.
- Architect and implement event-driven architectures to support real-time data processing and messaging.
- Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform and other IaC tools.
- Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in development, testing, and production environments.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
- Proficiency in Next.js and TypeScript, with a strong understanding of API design and microservices architecture.
- Experience working with Nest.js.
- Experience in building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines with RAG stages for continuous integration and deployment.
- Strong command of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and proficiency with related tools like Terraform.
- Previous hands-on experience with audio/video processing tools like ffmpeg.
- Solid understanding of event-driven architectures and message brokers.
- Experience working in a startup environment, comfortable with rapid scaling and iteration.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills. (C1 minimum).
Compensation:
- The Salary range offered for this position varies from (USD) $5,000 - $7,000 per month, depending on seniority and skillset.
- This position is for an independent contractor, through a payroll platform.
- The talent will work REMOTELY allocated at our client.
