- Process Optimization: Lead the optimization of aluminum die casting processes, improving cycle times, material usage, and product quality while reducing costs.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve mechanical and technical issues in aluminum die casting machinery, dies, and tooling to minimize production downtime.
- Aluminum Casting Quality: Monitor casting quality with a focus on common aluminum defects (e.g., porosity, shrinkage, cracks) and implement corrective actions to maintain high product standards.
- Die & Machine Maintenance: Manage the repair, maintenance, and installation of aluminum casting dies, ensuring they meet performance requirements and extend their lifespan.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, quality, and design teams to implement design modifications and improve the aluminum die casting process.
- Training & Support: Provide hands-on training to operators and technicians in aluminum-specific die casting techniques and troubleshooting best practices.
THIS IS A TEMPORAL POSITION (3 to 6 months)
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience with aluminum high-pressure die casting processes, machinery, and materials.
Skills: Strong expertise in aluminum die casting, including knowledge of aluminum alloys, machine parameters, defect prevention, and die maintenance. Proficiency with casting simulation software is a plus.
