ALTEN Mexico is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Special Accountant Analyst ADV to join our team. As a Special Accountant Analyst ADV, you will play a critical role in the financial operations of our company. You will be responsible for analyzing financial data, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and providing accurate and timely financial reports.
Responsibilities:
- Key Responsibilities (Capitalization & Amortization)
- Lead full analysis and accounting for Capitalization and Amortization by vehicle and segment.
- Ledger and Subledger tie offs for Stellantis Legal Entity requirements; and Purchase Price Accounting.
- Monthly alignment with Fixed Asset Accounting and R&D (dates to start - stop Capitalization and Amortization)
- Maintaining master database.
- Accounting Close – Ledger Reviews, Journal Vouchers preparation, FP&A Assessments, Period to Period Variance explanations, Trend Analysis, Blackline Reconciliations, Briefing Book support, SOX Controls, along with quarterly audits (internal and external) Impairment testing
- Forecast/Budget/MTP – Support by Program Capitalization/Amortization calendarization, Regional Amortization Allocation, Management reporting
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Accounting, finance or similar
- 5 YOE
- Excellent communication skills;
- Ability to interact with/present to executive management and present a point-of-view with facts
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to question items
- Investigate/analyze independently
- Propose solutions to management
- Manage multiple priorities/work-streams
- Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of core Finance or Accounting experience, with the
- Ability to forecast, and report actuals through the monthly close process.
- Superior navigation and comprehensive knowledge of PentaSAP
- Excellent knowledge or experience in HFM / Semplice (Sempcube)
- Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, Lookup, etc.) and PowerPoint
- Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or CPA or equivalent
- Prior analyst experience
- Experience in maintaining SOX compliance
- Experience in the Automotive Industry is a plus
