SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Responsible for developing and maintaining an accurate forecast for all finished products distributed by the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED
1. Responsible for developing and maintaining an accurate Operations forecast for all finished products distributed by the organization. Identifies gaps/opportunities for supply chain and forecast improvements to meet desired customer service levels.
2. Reviews Operations forecast accuracy metrics against company goals.
3. Reviews and analyzes current inventory levels. Compare/advise on current Merit stocking policy guidelines for appropriate levels of stock. Identifies opportunities to move/use up inventory at risk in different sites/markets to reduce impact/exposure to Merit.
4. Review item attributes settings and make recommendations for changes to meet stocking policy guidelines. Advise improvement opportunities through different strategies using MRP settings.
5. Participate in Merit Supply Chain optimization reviews. Includes review of Forecast Horizon, Manufacturing/Planning Horizon, use of different freight options, safety stock levels, replenishment frequency, etc.
6. Performs other related duties and tasks, as required.

SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Education and/or experience equivalent to a related Bachelor’s Degree, such as Business.
• Work related experience equivalent to one years of production and forecast planning.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of production planning techniques and material control principles.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
• Knowledge of business math.
• Ability to work under strict time constraints and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs. Oracle planning tools are especially preferred.
