Job Title: IT Specialist in AV and Meeting Rooms
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to join a unique team that is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion while developing skills in project management, operational management, and other areas of IT.
Role Summary: The IT Specialist in AV and Meeting Rooms will be responsible for providing 2nd Level Onsite IT Support, focusing on Audio Visual Innovations, Meeting Room Technologies, and Event Production. This role is vital to operational support, planning infrastructure changes, and developing business process improvements for our support organization. The role encompasses all areas of IT, with a particular emphasis on AV standards, meeting rooms, and events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide AV & event support, including planning and implementation.
- Maintain and manage meeting room technologies.
- Produce and maintain comprehensive IT documentation.
- Collaborate with 3rd level technical teams for robust solutions.
- Drive process improvements using new technologies and automation.
- Manage local IT infrastructure, including telephony and disaster recovery planning.
- Contribute to the management and maintenance of meeting room equipment to maintain the business' core meeting room portfolio.
- Knowledge transfer to team members and the business.
- Event production and support business/LOB events.
- Build action plans to improve experience, processes, and product innovation.
- Foster collaborative relationships with other functions across the company and 3rd party vendors.
- Monitor effectiveness of vendors, support procedures & escalate issues.
- Provide a stable IT environment to the local business to ensure business continuity of IT services.
What You’ll Need:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in the 2nd level IT support role, technical customer support, or technical implementation roles.
- Experience with IT asset management systems and a strong competence with various job-relevant tools & processes.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively to lead and drive successful implementation/adoption of IT services.
- Strong project management skills and understanding of agile methodologies.
- Technical leadership experience including excellent customer focus and communication skills.
- Strong computing skills, oriented towards Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android, SharePoint, and the Office 365 power suite.
- General IT knowledge on different technical areas with a high degree of technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
