Job Objective:
To provide engineering support to the Midstream Operations team. Provides engineering analysis of operational problems and then identifies resolution or value-enhancing projects. Define and execute various capital growth and maintenance projects in the region. Coordinates with the Integrity Management team on integrity inspections, assessments and risk mitigation projects/programs.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Regularly interacts with control room, field operations leadership and field personnel to analyze operational problems, develop alternatives and recommend optimal solutions.
- Seeks and identifies opportunities to optimize systems, save costs and improve our operations and maximize operating performance & value.
- Provides initial design engineering, scope development, schedule and cost estimates for maintenance expense and/or capital jobs as well as growth capital projects.
- Coordinates and manages third party engineering designs for projects.
- Coordinates with project engineers and/or construction crews to ensure execution on desired scope of work.
- Works closely with the project manager or assumes the role of Project Manager for individual projects or programs as needed.
- Analyzes and optimizes crude, gas, and produced water gathering facilities and pipelines.
- Oversee construction activities managing onsite contractors and their subcontractors to ensure work is performed safety, efficiently, on time and within the project budget.
- Participates or leads PHAs for processing facilities and is responsible for resolving or identifying projects to address identified issues.
- Conducts Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR) activities with EH&S representatives and operations leadership and field personnel.
- Performs hydraulic simulations of pressures and flow rates through pipelines transporting oil, produced water or natural gas.
- Provides cost estimates to the Midstream Operations Team for maintenance and expansion projects.
- Capable of meeting with various local, state and federal agencies regarding assigned projects as needed.
- Present information at our field monthly update meetings.
- Assist in incident response efforts if required.

Qualifications:
- Two (2) to four (4) years of minimum oil and gas facilities engineering experience.
- Three (3) years minimum process or project experience in a plant environment.
- Broad based engineering and operational knowledge with the ability to understand, lead efforts in or provide internal support for civil, electrical, mechanical and process control issues or designs.
- Ability to perform PHA’s for process facilities.
- Familiar with process simulation (Promax or equivalent) and hydraulic modeling software.
- Ability to support operations team to maximize value generated from each asset.
- Ability to size relief valves and control valves for both gas and liquids
- Ability to generate conceptual and detailed cost estimates for projects up to $10 MM.
- Ability to maintain a positive, professional and solutions-oriented approach with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
- Ability to communicate effectively and share ideas
- Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
- Willing to travel up to 50% of the time (within the Region)
- Licensed and capable of operating a Company vehicle
Education Requirements:
- Required: Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from an accredited university
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
- Professional Engineers license a plus
