An added benefit is the opportunity to launch your career with a two-year educational and developmental program alongside a cohort of your peers!Throughout the two years, you can expect four (4) rotations, exposure to our insurance and reinsurance businesses, instructor-led workshops, monthly spotlight speaker series with executive leadership, networking events, self-paced course work, and the like.
- You will be performing actuarial pricing analyses on individual insurance and reinsurance transactions in support of our underwriting operations.
- Provide data analysis and industry research for senior actuaries and underwriters.
- Provide model engineering support for solutions and technology teams.
- Produce full-depth performance monitoring reports and provide business, pricing, and loss development insights.
- Maintain and innovate upon existing reinsurance data structures and pricing processes.
- Everest will provide support and company time for studying for the CAS Actuarial exams leading to Fellowship in the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS)
What You Bring: Experience & Qualifications
- You are a senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Statistics, or other quantitative disciplines of similar rigor
- Completion of 1 – 2 exams is preferred
- You enjoy fostering collaborative relationships
- Flexible and responsive to dynamic business needs including tight turnaround times and limited data
- Comfortable with autonomy, responsibility, and visibility
- Excel expertise as well as competency in at least one of the following: SQL, VBA, R, SAS, Python, or other coding language
- Dynamic thinker, with attention to detail and willingness to take on a variety of projects and develop creative end-to-end solutions
